Vocoders are an instrument that I have seen a lot of questions about in forums. There are not a lot of software vocoders, and they can be tricky to get a good sound out of. Orange Vocoder is a decent VST, but until I read this I found the sounds coming out of it quite weak and hissy. there are two parts to this tute, the original and an update. Enjoy!

Thanks for the comments and emails. I finally decided...Live is the only DAW I use, ever! But it really doesnt matter that these...I use Ableton Live for this sort of thing. Anyone else a Live fan?...35 years, and the best they can do is upgrade the wiring, put better LEDs...read more
