After looking at some many different midi controllers none really seemed to fit my needs. So I began to look into building my own controller.
After a little bit of research I came across an individual who goes by the name MONOLAKE. He too build a very impressive controller. So now I know I'm not the only one out there that wants to build their own controller.
After reading some of the requirements and parts it really isn't that intimidating. But then again I am an electrical engineer. =\
I will say the support and forums for this are really helpful.
So now i got a new project.

Thanks for the comments and emails. I finally decided...Live is the only DAW I use, ever! But it really doesnt matter that these...I use Ableton Live for this sort of thing. Anyone else a Live fan?...35 years, and the best they can do is upgrade the wiring, put better LEDs...read more
