I always knew that Daft Punk were arch samplists and nickers of beats, riffs and such-like from a wide variety of source material.

I didn't realise quite how much of their material was pilfered, though.

The story behind one of the most recognizable bits of sound in modern music. A fascinating documentary. Hits close to home for me becuase it was this was actually the first sample I ever used, in the first track I ever made. The track was terrible but the break was classic. read more »
